Vacuumatic,
the UK-based market-leading paper counting company has unveiled a new
blueprint for growth following a change of ownership.
The company, now headed by industry entrepreneur Stephen Boyd, is
planning a ‘dynamic sales drive’ in commercial print
markets in coming months – spearheaded by Justin Lewis, the
newly-appointed sales and marketing director.
Lewis (35) a former international manager head-hunted from top printing
machinery manufacturer, Heidelberg, has pledged a ‘laser beam
focus’ on new growth opportunities for Vacuumatic, which
currently exports its products to over eighty countries worldwide.
Said Lewis: “Vacuumatic has a 55-year pedigree in the paper
counting and batching equipment business. We have world-class
engineering and manufacturing talent and the new-look board believes
the company is uniquely placed to exploit that expertise and experience
across new areas of opportunity in the global marketplace.”
He added: “We are already significant leaders in the security
sector where we have product presence in almost every company in the
world that prints banknotes.
Now we are embarking on a new proactive sales and marketing campaign,
embracing our German and US subsidiaries and our 75-strong worldwide
distributor network.”
“Our overarching mission is to create more ‘noise’
and awareness around our solutions in the general print arena.
Our research shows there are many thousands of commercial and
industrial packaging printers worldwide who could benefit from
Vacuumatic products.”
The company, which boasts ‘100% accurate counting and
batching’, pioneered both the development of pin and blade
counting since its inception over fifty years ago, and disc technology
– which can count banknotes at up to 10,000 per minute.
Said Lewis: “The simple fact is that while our competitors can
count; we’ve counted for longer and we supply leading-edge
machinery to more security paper mills and banknote production
facilities than anyone else. We are also the only player in the field
offering three solutions; pin and blade, disc and optical.”
Vacuumatic employs over 40 staff, including R&D and manufacturing departments at its Brunel Way, Colchester HQ.
