Rima-System's
space-saving overhead gripper system effectively conveys products from
the printing press to the finishing stage.
Sometimes press delivery; product orientation, space availability and
flexible post press configuration appear to be simply incompatible.
However, the latest over-head conveyor system from Rima-System solves
the problem of transporting products from the printing press directly
to the finishing stage. For commercial presses Rima-System offers two
different belt-based designs which cater for different speeds and
pagination. These designs are cost efficient, not only for the initial
investment but for maintenance. In addition Rima-System works together
with OEM suppliers on gripper conveyor systems to cater for the
newspaper market which often requires this technology due to wet
signatures.
“The new addition complements Rima’s already established
overhead conveyor systems,” comments Tom Ralph, managing director
of Graph-Pak Pty Ltd, the Australian distributor for Rima-System.
“Rima floor and overhead conveyor systems come in vertical,
spiral and ‘S’ configurations to ensure that products
always move the ‘correct route’.
With unique high-speed conveyors, spirals and 180° conveyors and
deviation systems, Rima-System offers wide flexibility for conveyor
configuration, depending on project specifications, customer
requirements and individual preferences. The standard RS 28 product
line conveyors are specially built for the cost-effective transport of
light shingled streams (low paginations, light paper) typical for PFF
deliveries. The heavy-duty RS 251 line of floor and overhead conveyors
are based on modular design consisting of rolled aluminum providing
safe transport for shingled streams (all paper weights and sizes) and
other package options.
“Rima-System is a creative and innovative company which has
developed its products in response to its customers’
needs,” says Ralph. “Its twenty-five years of experience
and solid entrepreneurship along with Graph-Pak’s support and
service ethic give customers security well into the future.”
