The Dutch printer Janssen Pers has decided once again for a rotary
trimming line from RIMA-SYSTEM. Up to now two double stream trimming
lines have guaranteed a precise high quality trim for
the productions of a total of three KBA presses. Now the customer has
expanded his installation behind a KBA Continent with an
RS 830 trimming line. Long stream aligners, additional product guides
for large formats and a special product hold-down
assembly optimize the product run into the trimming area. Equipped with
non-marking belts, trimming lower knives and special vacuum
belts in the bumpturn the RS 830 guarantees a precise constant trim
even with difficult productions. The
reengineering and integration of the trimming line took only two days
– a minimum of standstill for the press.
The printer Sarnub in Italy has equipped his press, a Goss Universal
75, with Post Press from RIMA-SYSTEM, too. There the productions first
run into an RS 830 trimming line for three-side
trimming. The trimmed products are then transported to an RS 36
high-speed stacker that turns the shingled stream into stable bundles
thanks to an indexing upper bin and servo technology. Alternatively
untrimmed productions can bypass the trimming line and
run directly into the RS 36 compensating stacker. The configuration is
perfectly suited for the processing of thick
newspapers in collected production or thin inserts in straight
production.
