After a big fire had destroyed a major part of the newly installed
machinery at the printing plant Leykam in Neudörfl in 2006, it was
of major importance to quickly and efficiently plan and install the
new press and Post Press system. The target was to have a fully
automated printing plant which can be operated with a minimum
of personnel.
In the year after the fire the work behind two Lithoman IV and one
Rotoman press is almost completed – the installations are
running. Each Post Press system consists of floor conveyors, RS 840
double stream trimmers with motorized format adjustment, two RS 36
indexing stackers with blocking and strapping unit and an RS
400 high-speed palletizing robot. The press control desks and the Post
Press have been set up at the head of the folder so
that the printers have an excellent overview of the complete
installation. The high grade of automation and the easy
operation of the equipment guarantee a fast start-up and quick change
of jobs.
The installation of another Lithoman IV press with 80p is already
planned and the machine will be put into operation in 2008. This machine will be equipped with Post Press from RIMA-SYSTEM, too.
