The MINI TP 76 is one of the first Autobond models to incorporate wireless webcam and Skype phone facilities.
The latest Autobond MINI TP 76 will
be on show in Sydney in late March.
Tom Ralph, managing director of Graph-Pak,
Autobond’s representative in Australia,
believes the new economy version thermal
laminator will attract huge interest
here and is offering the machine at
an attractive price to launch the series
in Australia. It will be one of the
first models incorporating wireless
webcam and Skype phone facilities, and
will provide customers with instant
advice if they are experiencing a problem
during production, regardless of where
they are situated.
“Autobond laminators have incorporated
Siemens electronics for years which
has enabled the UK manufacturer to
offer remote diagnostics facilities
using a standard telephone line,”
says Tom Ralph. “However, this
takes the concept of remote diagnostics
to a completely new level.”
A wireless Panasonic Network Camera
is simply clipped on to the side of
the machine when not in use. When
required, the operator can pick up
and move the camera around as instructed
by the engineer. Customers are also
being provided with a Skype telephone,
which gives free unlimited telephone
calls over the internet to an Autobond
engineer. The system also has a built-in
microphone so that the engineer can
listen to the sounds that the various
parts of the laminator make, which
is extremely valuable in diagnosing
problems.
The MINI 76 TP handles stock from
A5 up to 760 x 1050mm, applying matt
or gloss OPP and polyester films.
The perfecting option allows sheets
to be laminated both sides in one
pass. Features include a touch screen
control panel, PLC and inverter drives,
a digital sheet counter, adjustable
anti curl bar, pneumatically adjustable
in-feed nip rollers capable of 6 tones
of pressure, and a pneumatic air clutch
to provide a constant tension between
the laminator and the sheeter.
Suitable for one-man operation, the
MINI 76 TP can be supplied with either
a suction-drum Stahl feeder or with
a Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 feeder
that allows output of up to 45 metres
per minute. It is also equipped with
chiller rollers for instant processing
after lamination.
